Art Deco Tour
Many of the Loop's more striking silhouettes were created by the surviving structures of the Art Deco Period. In the late 1920s and early '30s, American architects were highly influenced by the French Modern style, which is characterized by sharp angles and the use of light reflecting materials. One of the most visually interesting aspects of the Art Deco movement was the use of intricate ornamentation on building entrances and edifices.
