This tall apartment building exemplifies the importance of this residential building type in the history and development of Chicago¿s lakefront neighborhoods. Built as a cooperative, the building epitomizes a significant innovation in Chicago home ownership which became popular among high-rise lakefront apartment dwellers in the 1920s. With its bay windows and carved-limestone medieval-influenced ornament, the building is a fine example of the English Gothic Revival architectural style.
