Accessing the Application

Enter the following URL into a web browser: https://webapps1.chicago.gov/windygrid

City users, who are authorized to access the application login with their network credentials. For Level 1 users, the initial login will prompt the user to enter their email address. Level 1 users login using their CLEAR credentials.

When the application is initially launch through a browser the login screen will appear prompting a cursor within the username textbox; the login button is initially disabled until both username and password has been entered. Once the user information has been provided and the login button has been selected, the user credentials will be validated against the system.

If login failed, an error message will appear: “Login failed due to invalid username or password.” The system will allow the user to re-enter a valid username and/or password.

If login is successful, the landing page will launch.

Session Time Out

Once the landing page has been displayed if there's been no server activity on the application after four hours the user will be logged out automatically with a message appearing.
